Pastoral and chaplaincy care is offered to individuals and families navigating moments of vulnerability, transition, and meaning-making. This work is grounded in deep listening, presence, and respect—rather than doctrine, diagnosis, or advice-giving.
Rabbi Jerid’s interreligious training and chaplaincy practice support care across difference, belief, and worldview. Whether you are Jewish, interfaith, secular, spiritual-but-not-religious, or unsure how to name what you are carrying, you are welcome here.
This care may support those experiencing:
illness, aging, or caregiving
grief and loss
major life transitions
questions of identity, purpose, or belonging
The work begins where you are and unfolds at your pace.
Grief & Loss
Grief takes many forms—loss of a loved one, changes in health or relationship, or the quiet losses that accompany life transitions. Rabbi Jerid offers a steady, compassionate presence to help you reflect, remember, and move forward without imposed explanations or expectations.
Life Transitions
Moments such as retirement, relocation, gender affirmation, career changes, or family shifts often call for reflection and support. Care may include conversation, ritual, or simple accompaniment—whatever feels most meaningful to you.
Relationships & Pre-Marital Support
Rabbi Jerid works with individuals and couples of all backgrounds—Jewish, interfaith, LGBTQ+, and secular—supporting communication, shared values, and thoughtful preparation for partnership and commitment.
Recovery & Self-Empowerment
Support is available for individuals and families engaging in recovery from substance use or addictive behaviors, including guidance informed by SMART Recovery® principles and secular, evidence-based approaches.
Religious Trauma & Spiritual Injury
For some, religious experiences have caused pain, fear, or lasting harm. Rabbi Jerid offers a safe, affirming space to process these experiences, reclaim agency, and heal in ways that honor your boundaries and values.
Care is shaped by the following commitments:
Human-Centered – Grounded in dignity, autonomy, and ethical responsibility
Pluralistic – Respectful of diverse beliefs, traditions, and worldviews
Collaborative – You define your goals; the work unfolds together
Flexible – Sessions may be in person in the Seattle area or online
When needs extend beyond the scope of pastoral or chaplaincy care, Rabbi Jerid can help connect you with trusted professionals and community resources.
Sessions are available in person in the Seattle area or via Zoom, by appointment, for individuals, couples, and families.
Fees are discussed openly and may be adjusted based on need and context.
If you are seeking a thoughtful, steady presence during a meaningful or difficult season, Rabbi Jerid would be honored to walk alongside you.
